Accessible and fun - the Inland Lake Trail
Having fun at Khartoum Lake

The Inland Lake Forest Provincial Park and Trail System are located 12 kilometers north of Powell River. The 5.5 kilometer lake is situate in a semi-remote forest setting and supports an abundant, varied wildlife population.

It provides excellent camping, fishing, boating and outdoors oriented activities. The site is open from may 12th to September 30 and provides basic facilities for both disabled and able bodied persons. Route Description The 12 kilometer wheelchair accessible circuit includes 8 picnic/rest areas, 4 overnight camping areas and 6 fishing piers.

The trail is a crushed limestone covered pathway with minimal grades. Small, rustic log cabins are located at the overnight campsite areas. The cabins are reserved for disabled persons but can be utilized by able bodied parties if available. Note: If an able bodied person is utilizing one of these cabins and a disabled person wishes to use the cabin, it is the responsibility of the able bodied person to move to a another site.

Other facilities at Inland lake include accessible outhouses, fishing piers and a caretaker at the main campsite to offer assistance when requested. The site and trail system is located in a remote area in natural surroundings where rapidly changing conditions and hazards exist.

Persons using these facilities are advised to employ caution and common sense. A caretaker is located at the main Inland Lake campsite from May 15th to September 30th and is available for updated information and assistance upon request.
