Cycling
in Powell River is a popular form of recreation, transportation
and sport. The layout of the town
offers anyone easy access to any point in town.
The newly paved highway #101 with its wide cycling lanes is becoming popular with cycle tourers as well as local "roadies". Enjoy a long rolling and truly scenic ride.

There is a provincial campsite near the Saltery Bay ferry terminal. You will find more campsites, private and municipal, all the way into town. Many fine hotel, motels and Bed & Breakfasts are available to those riders who need a little more comfort after a long day in the saddle.
Powell River offers the most fun to cyclists in the off road or mountain bike area. The close proximity of forests to the town enables riders to be on a trail within five minutes. Whether you are looking for a nice family paced ride around the Inland Lake Trail or the challenge of the ever changing "north shore" styled Tower Trail...
...in Powell River you can ride it all!
Popular trails like Far Side Trail, Suicide Creek and Boogey's Trail make this awesome bike adventure possible. Even the most hard-core riders will find excitement and challenges as well as outstanding scenery in our beautiful forest trails.
The best way to learn about mountain biking in Powell River is to visit one of Powell River's friendly bike shops. Find out about group rides and guiding services!
The mountain bikers of Powell River have a long standing good relationship with other outdoor enthusiasts. Bikers, hikers, horseback riders etc. have all worked together to develop a world class system of trails.
Please
respect other people as well as the trail when playing in Powell
River's backyard.
Happy Trails!
